Love At First Bite Catering is thrilled to share our recent experience catering a Havana Nights themed mixer for the esteemed Orange County Wedding Professionals. Set against the stunning backdrop of the new OC Auto Addiction venue, which houses an impressive collection of classic and exotic cars, the Havana Nights themed mixer brought together the best of Cuban cuisine and automotive elegance. Love At First Bite Catering showcased a tropical Cuban buffet that transported guests to the lively streets of Havana, complete with festive Cuban-inspired appetizers from Plantain Crusted Chicken Skewers to the mouthwatering Empanadas and iconic Cuban Sandwiches, the menu was designed to transport these Wedding Pros to Havana for the night.

One of the standout appetizers with Havana Night flavors was our Plantain Crusted Chicken Skewers. What made these skewers truly remarkable was the surprising fact that they are gluten-free, much to the amazement of many attendees. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and coated in a crispy plantain chip crust and topped with fresh Mango Salsa, the combination of flavors was a true taste of the tropics.

Another crowd-pleaser was our scratch-made Empanadas filled with Cuban-style picadillo. Picadillo, a flavorful ground beef dish simmered with capers, green olives, and a tomato and white wine sauce, provided a rich and savory filling. Each bite was an explosion of traditional Cuban spices, making these Empanadas an absolute hit. Served alongside a homemade Avocado Crema, the creamy dip added a cooling element to balance the bold flavors of the dish.

No Havana Nights event would be complete without the iconic Cuban Sandwich. Our version featured layers of swiss cheese, crispy roast mojo pork, thin sliced ham, cornichon pickles, and dijon mustard. The sandwiches were toasted to perfection by our Action Chefs.

The Havana Nights themed mixer for the Orange County Wedding Professionals networking group was an incredible experience for Love At First Bite Catering. The tropical vibes of the night and the booths each vendor showcased were such a fun experience, and we loved being able to see so many event professionals enjoy themselves from a guest's point of view.
